This blog focuses on Revit Addin Wizards, Coders, and API Widgets. Coding languages exercised in the various Wizards/Coders/Widgets include but are not limited to C#, VB.NET and C++/Managed C++/CLI. Different Revit versions, flavors (Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP) and bitnesses (x86 or x64), different Visual Studio versions such as 2008 and 2010 and editions such as full fledged and Express will also be addressed when necessary.
Articles
Wow, this looks impressive.
For the sake of perfection, allow me to point out one little typo, please:
'Various Parameter Coverters' lacks an 'n'.
You can delete this comment afterwards :-)
Thank you!
Cheer, Jeremy.

Thanks. The RevitAddinWizard and the articles are trying best to be useful.
Also thanks for pointing out the typo. Got it fixed. Any others? Please keep it coming!

i notice 2011 is the only option while in the project properties? probably a stupid question, but I'm fairly new at this so bare with me. how difficult would it be to add 2012 as well? again, thanks for the time and dedication!

You are very welcome.
In terms of the option for version 2012, it is being worked on and in good progress. Revit API 2012 made many changes from the version 2011 as always. Some are fundamental and some are quite specific, so it will take some time for the whole 2012 support to be added to all the wizards, coders and widgets, and fully tested. It will not take very long though. Likely a few more weeks.
Hopefully before the New Year!

Thanks. Surely will.

RevitAddinWizard and its various wizards, coders and widgets have all supported Revit API 2012 now. And backward compatibility for Revit API 2011 is also maintained.

Just checking in to see when you plan to roll out 2013 update. Keep up the great work. This is very helpful.

Gene, thx for the nice words.
It can be expected that the Revit .NET Addin Wizard will support Revit API 2013 before the coming New Year.

Gene, Revit API 2013 has been supported in the latest RevitAddinWizard. It can be found and downloaded from the same link on this page.

Spider, do I need to "uninstall" the previous version before installing 2013?
Posted by: D | 02/07/2013 at 02:15 PM
No bother I did the uninstall and then installed the new. Works great!
Posted by: D | 02/07/2013 at 03:39 PM
D, glad you made it work.

The Addin Wizard is not work with Visual Studio 2013? any help appreciated.
Posted by: Mohd Mahboob | 07/25/2014 at 09:16 PM
Mohd Mahboob, you are right. RevitNetAddinWizard does not support Visual Studio 2012 or 2013 yet. We are working on it.
Posted by: Spiderinnet | 07/26/2014 at 05:52 PM
Hi just checking to see if support for Visual Studio 2013 has been included yet? Thanks for the great products!
Posted by: Gene | 11/25/2014 at 12:00 AM
Gene, thanks for liking it. We are working hard on upgrading RevitNetAddinWizard to make it work with Visual Studio 2012 and 2013 at this moment.

I was wondering if the RevitAddinWizard works with Visual Studio Community 2013? I have installed it but cannot seem to get it to show up in the listings in the software like it states in the instructions. Any help would be appreciated.

Lester, we are migrating RevitAddinWizard to support Visual Studio 2012 and 2013, testing the new version and addressing issues. Since Visual Studio Community 2013 supports extensions, the new RevitAddinWizard will work with this edition. The new RevitAddinWizard version will likely come out in one month or two. Please stay tuned. Thanks for your patience.
