In this post, let us look at a few features of Revit Manifest Organizer together. They are to copy, move, and delete selected manifest files in either the Available folder or the Backup folder, back and forth between the two specified folders, or to somewhere else.
When at least one file is selected in either list, the Copy Selected, Move Selected, and Delete Selected buttons will be enabled. If some buttons are selected in the Available list, the button [>>] and the [Cp>] will be enabled indicating we can move or copy them directly to the Backup sub folder. If some are selected in the Backup list, the other two buttons [<<] and [<Cp] will be enabled indicating they can be moved or copied back to the Available list with a single click.
These buttons locate at the low right corner of the main Revit Manifest Organizer window or between the two checkable lists:
As shown in the above image, anytime the mouse cursor is hovering over a button, a meaningful tooltip pops up automatically to give us some idea of what the button looks after.
All the highlighted seven buttons are pretty straightforward; we will not demonstrate them one by one in detail here. If interested, please feel free to give the Revit Manifest Organizer a try.
Last but not least, there are also some options to control these operations. By default, files will be overridden when copying or moving if files with the same name already exist in the target folder, and a confirmation dialog will pop up before any files are going to be removed permanently. The behaviour can be changed through un-checking the corresponding options from the Other Options dialog:
