In this article, let us look at a new widget that Revit Addin Wizard (RevitAddinWizard) provides, Project Renamer. As its name indicates, the widget is to help rename some projects of the current open Visual Studio solution. If necessary, the solution and the chosen projects can be copied to a new location beforehand.
It can be found from the Revit Addin Widget menu group or the toolbar:
We have demonstrated how to rename some projects of the current open Visual Studio solution before. In this post, let us see how to update the assembly information afterwards.
If the ‘Launch AssemblyInfo Updater’ option is specified in the Project Renamer window, after projects are renamed properly, the following AssemblyInfo Updater window will show up:
Then we can update the assembly Title, Description, Product and so on if necessary to make them consistent with the project name, default namespace and assembly name:
By the way, the AssemblyInfo Updater is also a standalone widget provided by Revit Addin Wizard. We have demonstrated how to use it before, so will not duplicate here.
RevitAddinWizard will provide more and more and cooler and cooler widgets in the near future. Please stay tuned.
