The Views Simple Cleaner tool of the Views Cleanup tool group in the Project Cleanup toolset can help clean up views from the current project, in a simple but easy way. When the ribbon button is clicked, the following window will appear.
Tree View
The tree view displays all views in the current project model based on their view types such as CeilingPlan, Elevation, and FloorPlan. If the check box beside a view is checked, the view will be chosen, and its parent node will be either in partially chosen mode (with a black filled square at center) or complete mode (with a check mark) depending on the selection status of other items in the same tree node. If all items in a tree node need to be chosen, we can simply click on the parent node check box. They can be deselected in a simile way through unchecking the parent node.
Tree View Buttons (from left to right)
- Select All: select all items in the tree view, either root or nested.
- UnSelect All: deselect all items in the tree view, either root or nested.
- Collapse: collapse all the tree nodes to root.
- Expand: expand all the tree nodes to the most nested level.
- Show Selected Only: only display those selected items in the tree.
- Show UnSelected Only: only display those unselected items in the tree.
- Inverse Selection: inverse the selected or unselected status of each item.
- Show All: display all items either selected or unselected in the tree.
Buttons:
- OK (with a green check mark): to clean up all chosen views right away .
- Cancel (with a read cross symbol): to dismiss the dialog without doing anything to the model.
If the OK button is clicked in this case, the following information box may be popped up.
Otherwise, the Cancel button can be clicked to dismiss the dialog without any changes to the model.
