Revit SPF Editor is a standalone Windows tool. It does not depend on any third party applications such as Revit, Notepad and Excel.
It helps edit all kinds of Revit shared parameters in any shared parameter files (SPFs). It can operate on shared parameters in many ways such as creating SPF, saving SPF itself, exporting as CSV and another TXT format, importing CSV file, merging other SPFs into current, separating chosen to another SPF, adding new, erasing chosen, examining for issues, searching & replacing, property matching, GUID regenerating, renaming, case converting, changing groups, renaming groups, swapping groups, and merging groups.
All parameter information can be checked and edited in a single nice data grid. GUID can be updated directly. The Visible and User Modifiable properties can be checked on or off right away. The Description field supports multiple line texts.
It supports all Parameter Types such as Image and MultilineText. It supports all Family Types (Categories) such as those Bridge ones. It can view and edit shared parameters in either a Flat view or a grouped view by Group, Discipline or Type. In either group view, each column of the data grid can be sorted at will, and all parameters in the group can be chosen with a single click.
It provides a context menu to help select, deselect highlighted parameters, and reverting selections. It detects which version of Revit, such as 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014, may have created the SPF of concern. It can save a SPF from one version to another through parameter compatibility checking and removing those incompatible ones.
